H: Erik Wandel was registered (1723-12-18) as a borgare (burgher) and
handelsman (tradesman) in Gävle Heliga Trefaldighet, Gävleborg (X). Erik
Wandel’s father was also a borgare and handelsman in Gävle, so it is likely
that Erik Wandell was born in Gävle. He could have been in Stockholm,
where he married Elsa Wree in 1718, as a merchant/trade representative, or
perhaps he was there solely for the wedding, but he apparently returned to
Gävle sometime between 1718 and 1723.
